The BBC Radio 4 audio adaptation of Sharon Charde‘s collection, Branch in His Hand, is available to stream from the BBC 4 website. The radio play, Four Trees Down from Ponte Sisto (BBC stream is no longer available, you can listen to the play at Sharon’s website), was adapted for radio by Gregory Whitehead, and recounts Charde’s experience of losing her son who was studying abroad in Italy when he fell to his death by accident.
The radio play is voiced by actress Anne Undeland and tracks the process of grief and loss. Branch in His Hand was published by The Backwaters Press in 2008.
