Brings Plenty is a young Sherman Alexie or Adrian C. Louis. He does not hesitate to excoriate the capitalists of city or ranch economies. His critique can be spot on or, occasionally, over the cliff. His self-deprecating presentation of himself as a bungler lightens the sharp edges.
